# Managed applications

The Managed Application detail view provides detailed information about a single software package from the application catalog. In addition to general application information, you can see all available versions as well as the distribution and status of the application on the associated endpoints. You also have the option here to configure the application status for the entire environment.

### Application information

This tile provides a summary of the most important application metrics:

- **Versions in catalog:** Number of managed versions of this application
- **Total endpoints:** Number of endpoints on which this application is detected or managed

### Current target state

The currently configured target state for the application is displayed here. The target state corresponds to the one shown on the **Endpoint Details > Managed applications** and **Applications > Managed applications** pages. Possible target states include:

- **Uninstall and keep uninstalled**: Using this feature, the Proactive Agent ensures that an application is automatically removed from the endpoint. The initial uninstallation of the application is performed by the Proactive Agent during the next synchronization cycle (every 12 hours or immediately via the **Apply configuration now** button directly at the endpoint). If a user or administrator manually reinstalls the application, it is automatically uninstalled again by the agent. **Notes:** (1) This target state does not prevent installations in real time. (2) The state does not apply to the Proactive Agent. (3) This state is available only for selected applications, not for the “Configure All” option.
- **Keep on latest available version**: The application is automatically updated to the latest available version, if this has not already been done. If a new version is available in the catalog, it is also installed automatically. Checking for and installing available updates occurs locally on the endpoint when the Proactive Agent starts, and then automatically every 12 hours.
- **Set no target state**: This state is marked with a “-”. It means that the application will not be modified by baramundi Proactive Hub. Neither automatic updates nor (un)installations are performed.

### Action button: Configure application

This button allows you to set or change the target state of the application.

1. Select the desired new target state: **Uninstall and keep uninstalled, Keep on latest available version**, or **Set no target state**.

2. If you select the option **Keep on latest available version**, the following window appears. Here, use the toggle button to decide whether an application package that is not yet installed on all affected endpoints should be automatically installed by Proactive Hub. If you select this option, the corresponding application will be automatically reinstalled even if the endpoint user uninstalls it. **Note:** If you open the details view for the “baramundi Proactive Agent” application, the “Uninstall and keep uninstalled status” option is not available.

3. Before saving the new target state, please review our liability notice for application management.

4. Then click **Save & Accept**. After a target state has been saved, it may take up to 12 hours for it to be implemented on the endpoint. This requires that the endpoint be online.

## Version catalog

In the **Version catalog** section, you can see all application versions of the selected application that can be managed using Proactive Hub.

- **Version number**
- **Malware scan status:** baramundi checks every application version for malware before the version is made available as an update or for installation
- - **Not scanned:** The version has not yet been scanned by our system.
    - **Clean:** The malware scan did not detect any security risks.
    - **Suspicious:** The result of the malware scan was insufficient to certify that the version can be managed securely.
    - **In progress:** The malware scan is currently being performed.
    - **Latest approved:** The latest version that has successfully passed the malware scan is marked accordingly. This version is automatically installed, provided the target state is configured accordingly.
- **Malware check:** The timestamp when the malware scan was performed
- **Release date:** The release date of the application version stored in the application
- **Installations:** Number of endpoints on which the application version is installed

## Measurement

In the **Measurement** section, you can see on which endpoints the selected application is installed. Here you'll find an explanation of the [table functions](https://help.baramundi.cloud/en/article/table-functions).

- **Name** (of the endpoint)
- **User** (of the endpoint)
- **Installed version** (application version installed on the endpoint)
- **Last seen** (Time when the application was last inventoried on the endpoint)
- **Target state:** This refers to the target state configured for the endpoint. It may differ from the application's default target state.
- **Application status:** It indicates the current status of the application's configured target state on this endpoint. The following statuses are available:
- - **Waiting for endpoint**: Implementation will take place within the next 12 hours, provided the endpoint is reachable.
    - **Fulfilled**
    - **Not fulfilled**

#### Failure details for status “Not fulfilled”

If an application has the status “Not fulfilled,” you can view the error details by clicking the **i icon** in the table row in the **Application status** column.

Here you will find:

- the **reason** why the target state was not met
- the **return code** to copy
