# Stability

In the Stability tab, you can see details of all installations, app hangs and crashes for the selected app in the selected time period.

## Overview

At the very top, you can see a summary of all installations, app crashes or app hangs for the app in the selected time period (fig. from left to right). You select the time period at the very top right in the **Measurement** area.

- Crash Ratio
- Number of installations
- Number of abnormal endpoints (small number shows trend)
- Average app crashes per day (small number shows trend)
- Average app hangs per day (small number shows trend)

## Measurement

In the **Measurement** section, you can see all endpoints affected by the app listed in the selected time period, sorted by default by the number of app crashes (descending). Here you'll find an explanation of the [table functions](https://help.baramundi.cloud/en/article/table-functions).

![](https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/db31e41d-5f99-4373-8014-d11d215c82e9)

The following information is available:

- Name of the endpoint
- Email address of the user of the endpoint
- Current version (currently installed)
- Status (installed: the application was installed during the last inventory scan; removed: the application was installed within the selected time period, but was removed before the last inventory scan; unknown: it is a system application or the application cannot be clearly assigned)
- Number of app crashes
- Trend (the change compared to the past period)
- Time of the last app crash
- Last crashed app version
- Number of app hangs on the endpoint
- Trend (the change compared to the past period)
- Time of the last app hang
- Last hanging app version

#### **Excluded application:**

If the application is currently excluded from the stability data calculations, you will not see any data in the measurement table. Instead, this note appears:

To include the excluded application again, scroll to the **Analysis** area and select the **View excluded application** option via the **Actions** button. Here you have the option of reactivating this application. You can find out more about excluded applications here: [Manage Excluded Applications](https://docs-staging.baramundi.com/helpsetid=m_t_administration&externalid=proactive-hub_administration_manage-excluded-applications&Language=en-us).

## Analysis

In the analysis area, select the area you want to take a closer look at on the left: **App crashes** or **App hangs** (default: App crashes). At the top, you will then see a summary of the most important data again accordingly:

![](https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/3b3a29a0-b768-4bd3-afb3-6f7b24076ba9)

- How many endpoints were affected in the selected time period?
- How many app crashes or hangs were there in total and what is the trend (small number)?
- How many app crashes or hangs were there on average per day and what is the trend (small number)?

#### Actions Button

The **Actions** button is located at the top right in the **Crashes/Hangs** section.

You have the following options via it:

1. **Forward application data:**
This option allows you to forward the data to an email recipient. The settings for this can be found in the administration area under [Adjust Action Settings](https://docs-staging.baramundi.com/helpsetid=m_t_administration&externalid=proactive-hub_administration_adjust-action-settings&Language=en-us).
Clicking it opens a drop-down menu with the **Forward application data** function. Clicking this opens a dialog that allows you to edit the **Subject** and enter **Additional information**. By default, the subject is “Application analysis.” The following information is also listed for sending:
Finally, click **Send** if you want to forward the data of the selected application to the configured target address.
**Note:** If the **Forward data** feature is not yet globally activated, a notice will appear when attempting to send. An environment administrator must first activate the feature in the administration area under [Adjust Action Settings](https://docs-staging.baramundi.com/helpsetid=m_t_administration&externalid=proactive-hub_administration_adjust-action-settings&Language=en-us).
2. - Who is sending this email: The user's email is entered here.
    - From which category of the baramundi Proactive Hub app do the data originate?
    - What is the name of the application from which the data originate?
    - What time period do the data refer to?
    - Table with an overview of the distribution of application versions:
    - - Version number
        - Number of application installations in the specified period within the environment
        - Number of application crashes in the specified period within the environment
        - Number of application hangs in the specified period within the environment
3. **Exclude application** or **View excluded application**
If the application is already excluded, the option **View excluded application** appears. This allows you to view details of the exclusion and reactivate the application.
If the application is not excluded, you can use **Exclude application** to exclude it from the calculation of the stability data. Please also note the information here: [Manage Excluded Applications](https://docs-staging.baramundi.com/helpsetid=m_t_administration&externalid=proactive-hub_administration_manage-excluded-applications&Language=en-us)

Below that is the detail view of the selected category: app hangs or crashes.

### App crashes and hangs

Select the corresponding tab on the left to see either the analysis of app crashes or app hangs. The figures below show examples of app crashes. The graphics for the app hangs behave in the same way.

#### **Crashes/hangs by endpoint**

![](https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/ae6f9c2f-4397-4593-b45e-dcad4cc1e97e)

You can see here how many crashes or hangs of this application have occurred on each affected endpoint. Depending on the number of endpoints affected, you will see a pie chart or bar chart showing the distribution of crashes/hangs across the various endpoints. The time period can be set separately for this diagram. By default, the period set above in the **Measurement** area is used.

#### **Distribution of {app name} versions**

![](https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/4a3bee5a-0e9f-40e7-b53a-7a6a9980a962)

In this view, you can see the crashes/hangs distributed by version of the selected application. The red and orange bars show the number of app crashes and app hangs per version. The blue bars show you the versions currently installed in the company. This allows you to see at a glance whether the current versions are stable or less stable. To see the details for a version, click on the version in the bar chart. A list with the affected endpoints, their users, the number of total app crashes/hang-ups of the selected version and the last crashed/hanged version on this endpoint will open below the chart. The last crashed/hung version may differ from the selected version if the application had crashes/hangs in several versions during the selected time period.

The time period can be set separately. By default, the period set above in the **Measurement** area is used.

**Sorting***:* The chart can be sorted by current installations, latest version, app crashes and app hangs.

#### **Endpoints affected by crashes/hangs of {app name} over time**

![](https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/9081d398-e862-447b-8a46-c47560164e12)

In this bar chart, you can see the distribution of crashes/hangs with their respective number of affected endpoints by version. You can change the time period by zooming with the mouse wheel in this diagram, alternatively using the scroll bars at the top and right. If there were crashes/hangs in several versions on one day, these are added to a total number and displayed in the diagram with several colors (the corresponding color portion for each version). If you click on a bar, you will see the list of affected endpoints on the right with the name of the endpoint, its user and the number of app crashes/hangs on this device. Click on an endpoint or use the three-dot menu to open the detailed view.
