# Performance

The Performance tab shows you details of the average, minimum and maximum CPU and RAM utilization as well as the boot impact of all installed applications in the selected time period.

First, select your active environment in the upper right corner. All environments to which you have access are available.

The magnifying glass icon at the top provides a global search function by *username*, *application* or *endpoint*.

## Measurement

In the **Measurement** area, you see all applications of the environment you have selected listed, sorted by default according to the average CPU utilization. You can select the time period in the top right. Here you'll find an explanation of the [table functions](https://help.baramundi.cloud/en/article/table-functions).

The following information is available:

- Name of the application
- Publisher
- Average maximum CPU utilization (the average of all maximum CPU utilization values during the selected time period)
- Average CPU utilization
- Average minimum CPU utilization (the average of all minimum CPU utilization over the selected time period)
- Average maximum RAM utilization (the average of all maximum RAM utilization over the selected time period)
- Average RAM utilization
- Average minimum RAM utilization (the average of all minimum RAM utilization values in the selected time period)
- Average boot impact (more information on this can be found below in the section **Analysis > Boot impact**)

## Analysis

#### **Boot impact by application**

This graphic shows an overview of the worst 10 applications that had the greatest boot impact on the endpoint during the selected time period. Clicking on a bar takes you to the detailed view of the application.

> **Notes on boot impact**
> 1) The data used to calculate the boot impact on an endpoint comes from the file used by Windows for the Task Manager.
> 2) To ensure that the data is up to date, only data that is 30 days old or less is used to calculate the boot impact.
> 3) The categorization into **high, medium**, and **low** boot impact is based on Microsoft's classification. For more information, please refer to the [Microsoft documentation](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/w8cookbook/startup-apps?redirectedfrom=MSDN).

## CPU

#### **CPU utilization by application**

The diagram ‘Worst 10 applications’ lists the ten applications from the three selectable ranges that had the largest/worst values over the selected time period. The following areas are available:

- Maximum CPU utilization
- Average CPU utilization
- Minimum CPU utilization

Regardless of the sorting, the largest value is always at the top. The x-axis shows the CPU utilization value. Select the desired time period for which the values are to be displayed in the top right corner. By default, the time period of the **Measurement** area is adopted.

### RAM
