# Deployment and installation using Microsoft Intune

These instructions describe how to convert the baramundi Proactive Agent executable setup file, including the required installation token, into a Microsoft Intune Win32 app package (.intunewin), upload it to Intune and then deploy it to your endpoints.

#### **1\. Prerequisites**

1. Administrative access to Microsoft Intune
2. Downloaded, up-to-date installation file of the baramundi Proactive Agent (download instructions: [Manage Endpoints](https://docs-staging.baramundi.com/helpsetid=m_t_administration&externalid=proactive-hub_administration_endpoint-management&Language=en-us))
3. Valid enrollment token for the Proactive Hub environment in which endpoints are to be included (instructions for creating: [Manage Endpoints](https://docs-staging.baramundi.com/helpsetid=m_t_administration&externalid=proactive-hub_administration_endpoint-management&Language=en-us))

#### **2\. Download Microsoft Intune Win32 Content Prep Tool**

1. Download the Microsoft Win32 Content Prep Tool [IntuneWinAppUtil.exe](https://github.com/Microsoft/Microsoft-Win32-Content-Prep-Tool) (link to GitHub).
2. Unzip the folder and place it, for example, under C:\\Tools\\IntuneWinAppUtil\\.

#### **3\. Convert the baramundi Proactive Agent setup into an .intunewin package**

Execute the IntuneWinAppUtil.exe file using a command line or via the command prompt and follow the instructions or answer the questions asked. The tool then creates an .intunewin file.

#### **4\. Create a Win32 app in Intune**

1. Log in to Microsoft Intune: [https://intune.microsoft.com/](https://intune.microsoft.com/)
2. Navigate to **Apps > Windows Apps** and select **\+ Add**.
3. Select **Windows App (Win32)** as the app type.
4. Upload the previously created **.intunewin** file.

#### **5\. App configuration in Intune**

1. Tab **App information**:
2. - Name: „Proactive Agent“
    - Description
    - Publisher: „baramundi software GmbH“
3. Tab **Program**:
4. - **Install command**
Enter the installation command of the Proactive Hub Agent here (instructions for creating/viewing: [Manage Endpoints](https://docs-staging.baramundi.com/helpsetid=m_t_administration&externalid=proactive-hub_administration_endpoint-management&Language=en-us)), example: baramundiProactiveAgent.exe /exenoui /qn ENROLLMENTTOKEN=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1\[...\]5d
    - **Uninstall command**
        C:\\ProgramData\\Caphyon\\AdvancedInstaller\\{C28BCA2F-8E17-4A04-95A3-2A92A9450EB8}\\baramundiProactiveAgent.exe /x {C28BCA2F-8E17-4A04-95A3-2A92A9450EB8} /qn AI\_UNINSTALLER\_CTP=1
