License Overview

The License Overview provides a centralized view of your available and used licenses, as well as how they are distributed across the individual environments. You can manage license quotas and add-ons, edit environments, and specify how the available licenses are assigned.

When you open the license management, the license overview is displayed by default. It serves as the central entry point for all license information.

General information

Three key metrics are displayed in the upper section:

Fig. Key metrics in the license management overview

  • Environments: Total number of Proactive Hub environments
  • Active endpoints: Total number of registered endpoints
  • Allocation mode: Active distribution mode (automatic or manual)

The values are updated every time the page is loaded.

Essential Licenses

Fig. Example of an Essential license

All Essential licenses are displayed as cards. Each card contains:

  • License name and status (Valid (green), Expiring (yellow), Expired (red))
  • Individual license packages with total number of licenses, term, and days remaining
  • Usage metrics: Assigned (Auto or Count), Active (Count), Available (Count), Unassigned (only for “Custom” assignment mode: Count)

Expired packages can be optionally displayed.

Addon Licenses

Addon licenses are displayed in a separate section, similar to the Essential licenses.

Additionally:

  • Addons can be activated or deactivated per environment.
  • Usage is based on the number of active endpoints in the respective environment.
  • Activation is only possible if sufficient capacity is available in the Addon pool.

If an Addon limits available capacity, this is indicated accordingly.

Expired packages can be optionally displayed and are shown in gray.

Environments

All environments are displayed in a table below the license cards.

The table supports sorting and filtering via the headers and contains:

  • Environment name
  • Country
  • Assigned licenses: Total number of licenses assigned to this environment (only for fixed quotas, assignment mode “Custom”)
  • Active licenses
  • Licenses still available
  • Active Addons

Edit, Add, and Delete Environments

Actions (Three-dot menu): At the end of each row, you’ll find the actions Edit and Delete.

Edit: Allows you to -

  • Change the environment name
  • Adjust the number of assigned licenses (only in “Custom” assignment mode)
  • Enable or disable Addons for this environment

Delete: Please note -

  • Licenses are automatically returned to the pool.
  • Endpoints in this environment lose their license assignment.
  • The environment data is removed.

Add:

Using the + New Environment button, you can add a new environment.

To create a new environment, enter the Environment name, the Country, and the Data Center, and select whether Addons should be assigned to the environment. Note: The country and data center cannot be changed later.

Assignment Modes

The assignment mode controls how licenses are distributed:

Automatic mode:

  • Shared use of the entire license pool
  • No fixed quotas

Custom mode:

  • Fixed license allocation per environment
  • Clear separation of quotas

Note: When switching modes, a confirmation message appears, and the distribution is adjusted accordingly.
