Overview and Prerequisites
The primary function of baramundi Proactive Hub (formerly perform2work) is the monitoring of relevant experience data. This involves data from the experiences and applications of the end users. For this purpose, objective device information is compared with subjective end user experiences. Clear dashboards provide IT administrators with a visualization of current and historical data from which trends can be derived. Administrators have a constant overview of program hangs and crashes and can proactively counteract them (even before a support ticket is opened). Anomalies can also be analyzed retrospectively and assigned to the respective support tickets of the end users. A clear scoring also enables an objective evaluation and benchmark of the results.
To use baramundi Proactive Hub, you need a separate license.
System requirements:
- Windows 10 x64 (version 1507 or higher)
- Windows 11 x64 (version 21H2 or higher)

- Microsoft ASP.NET Core 8.0 Runtime
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) 14 or higher
- Internet connection on the end device
- Microsoft App Installer (is delivered and updated with Windows if the endpoint has access to the Microsoft Store; access to the Microsoft Store itself is not required for baramundi Proactive Hub to function correctly)

The above-mentioned system requirements from Microsoft are automatically installed when you install the Proactive Agent. This means you do not need to install them manually in advance. There is one special case in which these requirements must be installed manually. Read more about this here: KB106948 - Installation, Repair, and Uninstallation of the baramundi Proactive Agent.
Software management in baramundi Proactive Hub
The baramundi Proactive Hub package management uses the Microsoft App Installer („WinGet“) for the installation of software. Among other things, the Proactive Hub package catalog uses the Microsoft WinGet Community Repository. The packages it contains are synchronized once a day and added to the Proactive Hub catalog. A security check is then carried out. If a package version fails this check, we do not include it as an update or installation in our package catalog. The packages are downloaded by each endpoint individually and directly from the source specified in the package (usually the website of the respective publisher).
baramundi provides the installation and update mechanism for packages from the Microsoft Community Repository and automatically checks for malware. baramundi does not act as the publisher of the package and cannot provide support for the functional content. Problems that only affect individual packages usually have to be resolved with the publisher of the package.
